Who can enter

Any company or organisation may enter online at a charge of £95 +VAT per entry.

The Competition rules

  • Anyone can nominate but the entries must be submitted by the employer organisation
  • Entries must be from UK-based HR teams/individuals only
  • Entries will be judged by the judging panel selected by Personnel Today
  • Sponsors will not intervene in the judging process
  • All category winners will automatically compete for the overall winner of the Personnel Today Awards. This will be chosen by a separate judging panel of HR specialists.

The judging process

All entries will be judged according to the following criteria:

The entry statement should include the following bullet points:

  • The challenge

An outline of what the organisation hoped to achieve.

  • The solution

Describe what the organisation/individual did to achieve this

  • Benefits to the organisation

Highlight the benefits for the company – financial, motivational, etc.

Entry statement should be no more than 900 words

The entry should show examples of the following criteria:

  • Innovation and achievement
  • Teamwork
  • Leadership
  • Effective use of resources
  • HR's contribution to the business

Each shortlisted team will be contacted by a Personnel Today reporter for coverage in the magazine.

If you are shortlisted for this year’s Personnel Today Awards we will require you to send us a high res company logo.

Confirmation of booking

All bookings will be confirmed within 4 working days.  If you do not receive confirmation of your booking from Personnel Today please contact Siobhan Abbott immediately (020 8652 3887).

Cancellations

All cancellations must be made in writing to the address below. If you cancel on or before 18 October 2010 a full refund is given.  If you cancel after 18 October 2010 no refund is given, including non-attendance at the event.

Please note it may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organisers to alter the venue or the date of the event.

In the event that this function is cancelled by the Organisers, a full refund will be made of any booking fees paid. However, if the event is postponed for reasons beyond the direct control of the organisers, this booking will be transferred to the revised date of the event and all these Terms and Conditions shall apply to any such transferred booking.

Cancellation of the Event

You are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance, as we will not accept any liability for travelling, accommodation or other expenses incurred as a consequence of a possible event cancellation or postponement. The event secretariat will not accept liability for any loss, including incidental or consequential damages etc.

Special requirements

A form will be included with your invitations requesting this information.  Simply complete and return to the organisers. This form must be returned at least 48 hours prior to the event, otherwise charges will apply and guests’ requirements may not be taken care of.

Lighting and special effects

It is the table booker’s responsibility to inform their guest(s) that special effects including strobe lighting may be used on the night of the Awards.
