Who can enter
Any company or organisation may enter a maximum of TWO categories FREE OF CHARGE. Further entries will be charged at £250 +VAT each please submit one entry form for each category entered.
Competition rules
• Anyone can nominate but the entries must be submitted by the employer organisation
• Entries must be from UK-based HR teams/individuals only
• Entries will be judged by one independent person selected by Personnel Today
• Sponsors will not intervene in the judging process
• All category winners will automatically compete for the overall winner of the Personnel Today Awards. This will be chosen by a separate judging panel of HR specialists.
The judging process
Please supply on a separate sheet of paper:
An entry statement indicating why you should win this award which includes the following points (200 words each):
• The challenge
• What the organisation did
• Benefits and achievements
Please give a word count. Judges are not obliged to consider any part of your entry that exceeds this word limit.
Please submit three copies of your entry, together with three copies of the entry form.
If providing supporting material, please limit to A4 paper documents up to a maximum of 10 sheets. Do not supply any promotional items, DVDs or videos.
Each entry can earn a maximum of 100 points. One judge, who is eminent and respected in that particular field, will be allocated to each category. The judge will decide on a shortlist of finalists and, where necessary, may investigate further by telephone, email or a site visit.
Each shortlisted team may be contacted by a Personnel Today reporter for coverage in the magazine and visited by a photographer.
Final decisions about category winners will be made by each judge after all their investigations are complete.
The Awards will be held at the Great Room, Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London on Thursday 27 November 2008.
